Looking for dining options and are willing to deal with Melbourne’s topsy-turvy weather forecast? You may want to rug up or dress down and head to Melbourne’s biggest Food Truck Festival. Situated in the open space at Birrarung Marr, the festival is on till Sunday, 28 April 2019.

In what is meant to be the biggest gathering of street-food vendors, the Food Truck Festival is a five-day culinary extravaganza that you may want to skip a meal for. Over forty food trucks will stay idle while you play the fun (and maybe overwhelming) game of selecting what to order.

You can expect to see the likes of Mary and a Little Lamb, mouth-watering gozleme from The Gozleme Station and an array of tacos from Poncho Mexican Street Food. Make sure you don’t leave from ordering a serving of zesty calamari and chips from Chef Calamari and a plate full of puffy and flavoursome poffertjes from Country Fair Poffertjes.

The lively atmosphere is heightened with the unveiling of Melbourne ‘Foodie Nations’. Life imitates art as punters can get the opportunity to walk through an arcade of sculptured watermelon and liquorice all sorts. Foodies and Instagrammers alike can rejoice living out their #content dreams in the arcade.

The Food Truck Festival is a place to sit down with a group of mates, play some Jenga and immerse yourself in some of Melbourne’s best street-food offerings.
