On Now: The Food Truck Festival

The Food Truck Festival is Melbourne’s biggest, and it is something you do not want to miss. For the period of only five big days, the food trucks will be at Birrarung Marr, in the centre of Melbourne’s CBD.

The festival will bring together the diverse range of food options that make Melbourne what it is, all in one location. Tempt yourself with fried chicken, various asian or vegan options – there will be something that suits you and the entire family. For those who have a bit of a sweet tooth, you have been looked after, too, with an area dedicated just to you called “Sweet Lane,” which will be full of desserts.

On offer will be vendors from the north, east, south and west of the city, so chances are your local favourite will be there. There is also beer, wine and plenty more on offer, alongside some family entertainment and the best of Melbourne’s local art. The directors of this event, Frank Rusitovski and Dean Trpeski say they are “excited to be bringing the biggest food truck festival to the heart of Melbourne.”

If you are unsure where Birrarung Marr is, head to the Federation Square, and the park is along the Yarra. Entry to the festival will be free, so you have no excuse to not go.
