Returning to the beautiful grounds of Werribee Mansion, So Frenchy So Chic is back for another sunny day of the finest in French-inspired cuisine, music and family fun.
Featuring the top talents of the local French foodie scene, SFSC 2018 boasts an extraordinary line-up of wines, aperitifs and curated picnic hampers packed with fine French delicacies to enjoy. Mussels, macaroons, charcuterie and cheese platters are all available to taste or devour while festival goers lounge on the grass at the ultimate garden party. Pre-ordered picnic hampers can be arranged before the festival, including roast chicken or ratatouille baguettes or goose egg meringues, along with gluten-free and vegetarian options for those with special dietary requirements. Whatever you sample, make sure to find a wine, specialty cocktail or French beer to match from the festivals’ eclectic bar options.
Food is just one half of what makes SFSC such a wonderful experience as an incredible lineup of French musical talent will have you up and dancing until the sun goes down. This year’s headliners include Nigerian-born French rapper Féfé bringing his Afro-influenced beats and signature style and substance to the stage, the vintage jazz and funk groove of General Elektriks, Francois & The Atlas Mountains with their eclectic and poetic electronic sounds, the super stylish big sound of Juniore, and, to round it all off, the three piece set of L.E.J, who — with their mix of original compositions and mesmerizing covers — have racked up over 150 million views of YouTube and are now set to perform songs from their debut album.
Topped off with face painting, bubble artists and lawn games, So Frenchy So Chic 2018 is a day out for all ages and the best way to experience a slice of European bliss at home without paying for the airfare.
