If you love board games, comic books and a good laugh, then look no further than the new board game store Gatekeeper Games in Fitzroy North. Every Wednesday night, there will be 90 minutes of hilarious comedy for a mere $5 entry fee or free if you buy a game on the night (that’s a minimum of $10 though).

This week will feature stand up from comedian Lawrence Leung, Rose Callaghan, Jay Morrissey and Ryan Coffey. This is the perfect place for Leung to make jokes about his passion for puzzles and ’80s childhood icons, as well as more serious topics like con artists, psychology and ghosts.

Board games have never been so hilarious (unless you count all the arguments caused by Monopoly games).

It almost sounds like the premise of a reality TV show: pile a bunch of artists in a bus for seven days, send them across Mexico and see what happens.
