Since opening last October, head bartender at The Emerson, Jack Gibson, and his team has hit the mark with their creative cocktails.
This winter the aptly named, Jet Black & Stormy is set to fire up. The combination of spiced rums, zesty lime, alcoholic ginger beer and a cheeky dash of ginger liqueur will get the night going, and warm those cold stomachs.
It’s just one of seven new cocktails being launched as part of their winter range.
For those playing at home:
Jet Black & Stormy
30ml Sailor Jerry spiced rum
15ml The Kraken dark spiced rum
15ml ginger liqueur (The Emerson use Domaine De Canton)
15ml lime juice
Lick Pier alcoholic ginger beer
Add the spirits and lime juice to a Boston glass, fill with ice and shake well.
Pour contents into a high ball over fresh ice and top with Lick Pier ginger beer.
Garnish with a piece of dried apple or orange twist and add a pinch of cinnamon sugar.
