Speak words in a House of Bricks

A Collingwood based community of spoken word poets have been gathering and growing in size over the past year. As they’ve expanded their spoken word events have moved from the Egg Gallery into the equally wholesome-sounding House of Bricks studio space and Gallery.
This year’s first event for lovers of the spoken word is this Thursday. There are currently four spoken word artists have been confirmed to perform for ten minutes each. For those who don’t quite want to commit, the mic will be open for you at the end. Both established and grass roots artists have graced the stage in the past.
Being held in an artistic space also helps the collective to fuse art and culture into their performance nights. Free collaborative zines will be distributed, full of poems and words written by artists from past events.
Grab a beer for a gold coin donation and see what they come up with.
