While Italy might be known for fast cars, spag bol and light reds it’s also the home og a growing craft beer scene. This weekend The Local Taphouse is giving the nod to Mediterranean brews with The SpecTAPular Beer Festival.

Over 20 Italian craft beers will be on tap including Birra Del Borgo, Birricicio Troll, Croce di Malto and Scarampola breweries, most of which are making their first appearing in Oz.

Besides the booze they’ll be Italian food like Nonna used to make, entertainment and bocce, with all proceeds from the gold coin entry going to The Smith Family.

Drink in good conscience.
